The UK International Data Transfer Expert Council (IDTEC) has published a report that offers a sustainable solution for international transfers of personal data. Established in January 2021 by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), the IDTEC aims to help the UK take advantage of global data-sharing opportunities.
The report is based on the IDTEC's research, work, and meetings since its inception. It contains recommendations to the UK Government and the international community and calls for a global framework for trusted and responsible flows of personal data that benefit everyone.
