European DPAs increase oversight of AI

The Wall Street Journal reports that a number of European data protection authorities (DPAs) are opening dedicated units to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) oversight. The moves by DPAs in France, Spain and the Netherlands come in anticipation of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, and in response to the growth of AI business applications.
