Capita is facing legal action over the recent data breach that resulted in the exposure of customer data by the hacking group Black Basta. UK-based Barings Law has sent a Letter of Claim to Capita, outlining their case and client concerns. Around 250 individuals have signed up for the class action to date, and Barings Law is receiving up to 40 calls a day from concerned parties, including local councils.
"This could be the biggest data breach the country has ever experienced," said Adnan Malik, Barings Law's head of data breach.
