A Today In Focus podcast published by The Guardian discusses the recent NHS Federated Data Platform (FDP) contract awarded to Palantir. The US firm will work with the NHS to handle patient data, connecting information held by different trusts and allowing the health service to draw conclusions about population health. However, the deal has raised several privacy concerns about the use of private sector companies in managing NHS data. Privacy advocate Cori Crider has called the deal into question.
