Meta has confirmed that it has sold the animated GIF creator platform Giphy for a £210m loss to Shutterstock. The news comes after the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) ordered Meta to sell Giphy because the acquisition would have damaged rivals, consumers and advertisers.
