Meta considers self-imposed EU-wide ban on political advertising

Meta is considering whether to implement an EU-wide ban on political advertising ahead of proposed reforms under consideration by the bloc. The company is concerned the rules prohibiting micro-targeting and forcing online advertising platforms to disclose information about political adverts will be challenging to implement.
