Johnson's pandemic Whatsapp messages accessed from old phone

Experts have recovered messages from Boris Johnson's old mobile phone, which he promised to pass to the Covid inquiry. All relevant material will be given in unredacted form as soon as possible, but after the Cabinet Office conducts a security check on the texts. The deadline for handing over the messages requested by inquiry chair Heather Hallett has passed.
