EU Commission investigating Google data collection & adtech practices

Leaked documents show that the European Commission has begun two informal investigations into Google's data practices. The investigations are reported to be looking into Google's "collecting, accessing, processing, using or monetising data" and its advertising technology "in relation to advertisers, publishers and intermediaries, and competitors." The investigations are yet to be publicly disclosed. Earlier this month, the UK Competition and Markets Authority announced its own investigation into the impact of Google's Privacy Sandbox.
