National Police Chiefs Council outline strategic cyber support plan

The National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) and the Police Digital Service (PDS) have developed a National Policing Cyber Security Strategy to enhance cyber resilience in policing. The strategy includes plans for a cyber support function and a catalog of solutions for police forces. It aims to streamline the deployment of cyber solutions, encourage collaboration with the private sector, and empower police forces with skilled cyber security personnel. The strategy is aligned with the Government Cyber Security Strategy and focuses on managing risks, protecting against cyber attacks, detecting cyber security events, minimizing impact, and developing cyber security skills and culture.
