Microsoft announces phased rollout of EU Data Boundary solution

Microsoft confirmed that its European cloud customers would be able to process and store data locally for Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Power BI platform services from January. The project is being rolled out in phases, with customer data being addressed in the first phase. The move will provide companies with further clarification on where their data is located and whether it complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The service will apply to the European Union (EU) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).
