NCSC CTO: Market forces disincentivise cybersecurity

The CTO of the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), Ollie Whitehouse, stressed the need for better incentives in the technology market to build cyber secure products during his keynote address at the CyberUK 2024 conference. While companies are capable of creating cyber resilient technology, Whitehouse highlighted market forces prioritise value and cost over cybersecurity.
