The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has secured a confiscation order worth over £355,000 against former motor insurance worker Rizwan Manjra. Granted under the Proceeds of Crime Act at Manchester Crown Court, the order follows Manjra's 2024 guilty plea for an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
Manjra's misconduct was uncovered after an internal investigation by Markerstudy Insurance Services Limited (MISL) revealed that he was involved in 160 of 185 claims, despite having no legitimate reason to access them.
