ICO fines two companies £250,000 for PECR violations

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has fined two companies £250,000 for illegal direct marketing under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). 

  • Poxell Ltd was fined £150,000 for making over 2.6 million marketing calls to individuals registered with the TPS in breach of regulations 21 and 24 of PECR.
  • Skean Homes Ltd was fined £100,000 for making 614,342 marketing calls to individuals registered with the TPS in breach of regulations 21 and 24 of PECR.
