ICO blog reaffirms government accountability requirements

In its latest information rights blog, the ICO outlines that government communications conducted through personal accounts are, and have always been, subject to freedom of information laws.  This is particularly the case when many public sector employees have been working from home throughout the pandemic. "The key to the public’s understanding and trust in these decisions was, and remains, transparency about how and why they were needed. Furthermore, it is only through documenting decisions in detail that we can learn the right lessons for the future."
