Utilising AI in privacy programme operations

A recent IAPP article considers the potential benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) in privacy programme operations and management. Generative AI tools could help with the creation of data inventories, records of processing activities (ROPAs), data protection impact assessments, and more. Meanwhile. predictive AI tools could use ROPA data in order to predict risks associated with systems and solutions that process personal information. Additionally, generative AI could aid in the development of privacy-related software requirement specifications, organisational privacy notices, retention policies, and training plans. Predictive AI could also provide suggestions for targeted training and lead metrics. Generative AI could interact conversationally with data subjects and aid in developing dynamic incident-response plans.
