EU Commissioner's response to Meta's Consent or Pay model questioned

In a letter to the European Commission, Members of the European Parliament Paul Tang and Kim Van Sparrentak expressed their concerns regarding the "clarity and specificity" of Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton's response about Meta's tiered (Consent or Pay) subscription model, which they claim border close to "contempt of parliament." Their question pertains to the measures that the Commission will take to ensure robust data protection for EU citizens and to mitigate the need for individuals to sacrifice their privacy for online services. They have asked the Commission again about their plans to ensure data protection and prevent EU citizens from having to pay for their privacy.
