The Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union has outlined its priorities for the proposed EU Artificial Intelligence Act negotiations after taking over the rotating presidency in July. The topics under discussion this week include AI definition, high-risk classification, list of high-risk use cases, and fundamental rights impact assessments.
The Spanish presidency circulated a document on 29 June to inform an exchange of views on the four critical points of the AI rulebook ahead of the Telecom Working Party on Wednesday. That discussion will inform the position of the presidency going into the next trilogue negotiation session on 18 July.
