EDPS calls for international cooperation on data protection

In a blog article, Leonardo Cervera-Navas, Secretary General at the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS), wrote about the importance of international cooperation within the industry. While there is no United Nations' Universal Binding Declaration or Convention on data protection, the challenges faced are global, making international cooperation vital.

Cervera-Navas stressed the importance of data protection authorities (DPAs) being flexible in the face of changing regulations and technological developments and acting independently to ensure privacy rights are upheld.
