The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) has recently published an article that addresses the issue of the artificial intelligence (AI) black box phenomenon. The article highlights that AI technology has rapidly gained popularity due to its ability to automate tasks and process large volumes of data. However, the lack of transparency in the way these AI systems operate makes it impossible for both providers and deployers to explain the decisions and outcomes of these systems.
