(2nd) 49th EDPS-DPO meeting: data protection during COVID-19

The EDPS has delayed celebrating the 50th EDPS-DPO meeting by holding a second 49th EDPS-DPO meeting online, addressing data protection and COVID-19 in the EU institutions, bodies and agencies. The EDPS intends to mark the 50th anniversary in person when circumstances allow them to do so, which they hope can be organised in 2022. Nonetheless, the second 49th meeting was a fruitful discussion on protecting individuals’ personal data in times of COVID-19. This article provides a summary.
