The Wall Street Journal reports that companies are increasing the involvement of regulatory and ethics professionals from the outset of product engineering in order to ensure new projects comply with privacy regulations. Uber Chief Privacy Officer Ruby Zefo, CIPP/US, CIPM, FIP, and Visa Chief Legal and Administrative Officer Kelly Mahon Tullier said their companies have adopted review processes that pull in all relevant departments in one swoop while avoiding a hampering of innovation. "Let's make it simple, elegant, efficient, and not overly invasive," Zefo said.
