Zoom facing lawsuit for sharing data with Facebook

A Zoom user has filed a class-action lawsuit against the company for sending data to Facebook. The lawsuit claims that Zoom violated California's CCPA data protection law for failing to obtain proper consent from users about the transfer of the data. Vice is also reporting how Zoom is leaking data to strangers. Meanwhile, Zoom addressed recent concerns about its privacy policy in a blog post. It stated it doesn’t sell user data or monitor meetings and complies with all applicable privacy rules.
