Reporter uses AI-generated voice to hack bank account

A Vice reporter was able to access his Lloyds Bank account using a free artificial intelligence-generated recording of his voice to pass the bank's voice ID verification process. As a result, SocialProof Security CEO Rachel Tobac has recommended any organisations that leverage voice authentication immediately switch to a more secure method of identity verification, such as multi-factor authentication. This means of voice replication is possible without ever meeting the person he added.
