The US Chamber of Commerce has published its Artificial Intelligence Commission (AIC) detailed report and executive summary. Six key takeaways highlighted in the report reflect the growing importance and utilisation of artificial intelligence (AI) systems over the next 10 to 20 years and the need to ensure a regulatory environment that fosters responsible and ethical deployment. A failure to regulate AI effectively would have a detrimental effect on the economy and individuals' rights. That said, the US is well-positioned to take a leading role and capitalise on the economic advantages providing efforts to promote responsible AI begin now.
