UN issues joint data protection and privacy statement over COVID-19

The UN has released a joint statement on data protection and privacy in the COVID-19 response after approval by the UN System Organizations. The statement which was developed by an inter-agency group on data privacy and data protection, the UN Privacy Policy Group, "supports the privacy protective use of data and technology by the UN in fighting the current pandemic".
