UK publishes automated decision-making framework

The government has published its Ethics, Transparency and Accountability Framework for Automated Decision-Making. The new guidance offers seven consideration points, including proper handling of user data, to ensure the "safe, sustainable and ethical use of automated or algorithmic decision-making systems." Additionally, the government hopes the framework will "improve the general literacy" around artificial intelligence for civil servants and ministers "to support the agenda and provide appropriate challenge."
