UK posts vacancy for next Information Commissioner

The UK Commissioner for Public Appointments has posted a job description for the Information Commissioner to succeed Elizabeth Denham once her five-year term concludes at the end of October. “The Information Commissioner has a key role to play to drive the responsible use of data across the economy, to build trust and confidence, and to communicate the wider benefits of data sharing for our society as well as for competition, innovation and growth,” the post states. Applications must be submitted by 28th March. This follows the article published in the Financial Times last week outlining a new approach for the ICO.
