UK Government publishes Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 summary

The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) has published a summary guidance document of the key data protection and privacy changes contained within the recently enacted Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUA Act). Alongside the summary, the guidance document clarifies that the changes will take effect 2-12 months after Royal Assent and that updates contained within the DUA Act will be amended into existing UK data protection laws within 2 months.
