UK Government opens applications for responsible AI advisory panel members

The Government Digital Service (GDS) is seeking external panel members with expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) to join its Responsible AI Advisory Panel. These members will offer technical and cross-disciplinary expertise to guide GDS in developing responsible AI products, shape the panel's work programme, and ensure GDS is informed by the latest AI evidence and best practices. They will also scrutinise individual AI products across government, advising on responsible delivery. Ideal candidates will possess leading expertise in areas such as data or AI ethics, AI and data science, tech policy, international perspectives on AI use, and the impacts of AI on the workforce. Appointments are for a one-year term, with quarterly meetings and an expected commitment of one to two hours per month, without remuneration.
