Investigatory Powers Commissioner to oversee UK-US data agreement

The new UK-US Data Access Agreement which completed way through Parliament earlier this year, also concludes its scrutiny process in the US Congress this month and is set to come into effect later this year. Sir Brian Leveson, the Investigatory Powers Commissioner (IPC), has been selected to provide Independent oversight and ensure UK agencies comply with the Agreement.
