Home Office launches £60m market engagement for new ANPR app
07/10/2025 | UK Government
The Home Office has launched a £60 million market engagement process to develop a new application using data from automated number plate recognition (ANPR) systems. The department aims to develop the National ANPR Service Application to support live-time alerting, comprehensive search and reporting functions, data preservation and audit functionality, integrate with the Home Office's existing ANPR platform along with external systems, and enhance law enforcement capabilities.
The procurement aims to strengthen the National Strategic ANPR Platform (NSAP), which receives a constant stream of live data from all UK police forces and other agencies, enabling real-time alerts and historical searching for vehicles of interest to detect and disrupt criminal activity.
An Online Market Engagement event is being held on 15 October 2025 at 2:00 PM, via Microsoft Teams.
