IBM to end offering, developing, researching facial recognition technology

IBM is pulling out of the facial recognition market due to increased scrutiny over contracts with law enforcement amidst violent crackdowns on peaceful protest. IBM chief executive, Arvind Krishna, explained the companies decision in an open letter to the US congress.
