India developing an artificial intelligence law

In a move to promote economic growth, mitigate risks and harms, and improve India's global competitiveness, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology, announced that India is preparing to introduce a draft regulation for artificial intelligence (AI). The draft law is expected to be released in early summer.
