Telegraph calls for privacy to be curtailed to save freedom of speech

An article in The Telegraph calls for the broad and vague definition of privacy to be amended in the Government's consultation to reform the Human Rights Act 1998 due to its effect on freedom of speech. The article proposes that claimants in privacy cases should be required to show from the outset that they have suffered serious harm and to prove any private information in question is a core aspect of that person's private life.
