NHS opens Federated Data Platform procurement process

The NHS procurement process for its Federated Data Platform is now open, providing interested suppliers one month to complete their submissions for the seven-year contract worth £480 million. The tender document includes references to Purpose-Based Access Controls, which are unique to Palantir's system and allow the platform to restrict access to certain data. Privacy campaigners critical of the procurement process are threatening legal action.
