WhatsApp’s expected the DPC fine to be higher than €225m

Newly filed accounts filed in Dublin reveal that the Irish subsidiary of WhatsApp’s estimated that it would receive a fine from the Data Protection Commission over data sharing transparency of between €245 million and €250 million. This is an increase from the original estimate that the penalty would be in the €35 million to €105 million range.
