Privacy case launched against TikTok over collection of children's data

Anne Longfield, the former children's commissioner for England, has launched a case against the video-sharing app TikTok, allegedly claiming that it illegally collects children's personal information. Longfield claims that the app breaches UK and EU data protection law and seeks to stop it from processing the information of millions of children. TikTok should also delete existing data and pay compensation, which she believes could run into billions of pounds.
