Mobile industry considers tracking users globally

A senior official at the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSMA) has held discussions with mobile carriers who are capable of worldwide tracking of their users. The plan could involve the creation of a global data-sharing system as part of an effort to control the spread of Covid-19.
