Cummings' data law plans a risk to danger to trade, says EU

The suggested rewriting of data protection laws may put an end to highly valuable cooperation worth billions in trade. Instead Dominic Cumming, who describes the GDPR as "horrific", has pledged to remove "legal barriers (real and perceived)" to data use, promote international data sharing in order to deliver a "radical transformation of how the government understands and unlocks the value of its own data".
