Italy opens antitrust investigation into Apple's app privacy rules

The Italian competition regulator, the AGCM, has opened an antitrust investigation into Apple over the privacy rules it applies to its third-party app ecosystem on its iOS platform. The regulator is concerned Apple is creating an unfair advantage for its own targeted advertising, which are not subject to the same rules.
