Belgian DPA expected to fina IAB Europe in breach of GDPR

The Belgian Data Protection Authority is close to finalising a draft ruling for its investigation into IAB Europe's Transparency & Consent Framework. In an update, IAB Europe confirmed that the DPA notified that the ruling identifies infringements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. IAB Europe said the draft ruling is expected to be shared with other authorities in the coming weeks. The Irish Council for Civil Liberties, which issued a complaint about the system, said it hopes the decision "will finally force the online advertising industry to reform."
