Anthropic releases Mythos-class AI model to the public

In a blog article, Anthropic has announced the launch of Claude Fable 5, the first publicly accessible version of its powerful Mythos AI model class. Anthropic reports that Fable 5 excels in software engineering, vision, and knowledge work, but automatically routes high-risk queries in cybersecurity, biology, chemistry, and model distillation to Claude Opus 4.8. The company has simultaneously released an unrestricted Mythos 5 to vetted critical infrastructure and cybersecurity partners.
