UK records 1.1 million data breaches in Q3 2022

The updated global data breach stats provided by Surfshark reveals that a total of 108.9 million accounts were breached in the third quarter of 2022. The UK accounted for 1.1 million of those breaches. The global numbers show an increase of 70% compared to the previous quarter. The numbers of country-specific data breaches are actually higher than reported, as 31.1% of the total breached accounts did not indicate the person's country of residence.
