1 in 3 cyberattacks result in job losses

New research indicates that the severity of cyberattacks is directly attributable to job losses, according to a survey of 500 UK IT, resilience, and cybersecurity professionals. The 2024 Databarracks Data Health Check survey revealed that 37% of respondents reported dismissals resulting from cyberattacks. Job losses occurred when organisations determined staff were responsible and where financial circumstances resulted in forced redundancies following an attack.
