Worldcoin files lawsuit to suspend Spanish DPAs banning order

Worldcoin, the cryptocurrency project co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, has filed a lawsuit against the Spanish data protection authority, AEPD. The lawsuit is a response to the AEPD's decision to temporarily ban Worldcoin from operating in Spain and to stop collecting personal information and using data it had already gathered. The company behind the project, Tools for Humanity, filed the lawsuit with the Administrative Chamber of Spain's High Court. Worldcoin also paused all of its "World ID verification services" in Spain.
