Privacy activist Max Schrems Facebook complaint referred to EU court

In a privacy case brought against Facebook by Max Schrems, the Supreme Court in Austria has questioned the legal basis on which the company collects user data, referring to the Court of Justice of the European Union the issue of whether Facebook undermines the GDPR by confusing 'consent' with an alleged 'contract'.
