Insurers push for an EU regulation on connected vehicle data

Reuters reports that several insurers, leasing companies, vehicle repair shops and others are calling on the EU to implement a regulation covering fair access to connected vehicle data. While the proposed EU Data Act will regulate the use of consumer and corporate data, industry insiders are pushing for sector-specific legislation.
