France DPA latest to clamp down on Clearview AI

France's data protection authority, the CNIL, has ordered Clearview AI to stop processing photographs and videos publicly accessible online and to delete data within two months. The CNIL said an investigation found Clearview's collection and use of biometric data is a violation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. This follows the announcement that the ICO intends to fine Clearview AI £17 million
