European Parliament adopts DMA, DSA

The European Parliament has adopted the Digital Markets Act and Digital Services Act. Enforcement powers for breaches of the DMA and DSA mean companies face fines of up to 10% and 6% of annual global turnover, respectively. Technology platforms and service providers will now have to do more to police the internet and limit how users are targeted for advertising purposes.
