Ransomware attackers have resources to hire AI experts

According to an article in Protocol, it is a matter of time before cyber attackers can deploy artificial intelligence-powered ransomware. Until now, organisations that protected against ransomware attacks were the only parties that could utilise AI technology; however, WithSecure Chief Research Officer Mikko Hyppönen has claimed this is no longer the case. With the wealth that ransomware gangs have, they now possess the ability to bring on AI experts to exploit zero-day vulnerabilities and hire penetration testers.
